Now the car has tis weird idle and I just can't get it runnin right. When it starts it will run good for a few mins. then its starts to run really shitty. When I hit the gas is seem like there is no power and wont idle up. And then just the other day and this is the 2nd time this happen something popped and smoke came out everywhere. I also have an e-fan on there 2. I check that vac pressure and that was good too. I just cant gett this car runnin for some reason. Is there anyone out there that can help me

What is done to the car besides exhuast and e-fan? What color smoke is shooting out after it pops and is it from the exhuast?

I had white gray smoke on one of my 86's and the coolant and oil seals were on the way out. Do a compression test first. What is this pop you are talking about? Where was that coming from?

The poppin is coming from the exhaust and I'm look for some 1 with a compression tester now. Is the compression supose to be like 120 or something like that.

Compression should be 90+PSI.

And white smoke is very bad, that means your burning coolant.

Its only bad if theres a sweet smell to it, then its coolant.

This may sound STUPID but make sure you have freash gas in the tank. My T2 was doing the same thing. it idled really low and no power hard to start, and it ended up being a bad tank of gas. who would have figured . The thing with rotary engines is every problem could be 10 different reasons but have the same symptoms. good luck
