It would have to be done by someone who could easily do the composite work themselfs and would do it for themselfs only not expecting to make a profit. Then the mold would be there with no expected return.

Which if I can find the time this summer I would like to do.

Wait, let me get this straight. You want to work for free to help out fc owners who are too cheap or broke to buy decent parts for their cars, but still take it on themselves to bitch about there not being an aftermarket?

Since you put it that way, come work for me. Since youre time is so invaluable you dont care about getting paid for your work, it would be a great way to drop my prices.

No, I mean I would make one for myself since there are so few on the market, and I want to do some more composite work for my own intrest.

Then if other people happened to want one I could make them one also. I wouldn't be going into it looking to come out ahead.

[quote name='mazdaspeed7' date='Jun 8 2005, 06:23 AM']The problem with that is I would have to eat the cost of the mold, and just hope that I get enough orders to cover the cost. Given this crowd, it doesnt take an econ major to see just how risky that is from my end.

I would fork up some money to have a nice S4 lip. I actually spend the money on my crap. Give me and idea of how much it would take to get one started and Ill see what I can do.

Send me a PM. If nothing else, Im always up for one-off projects.

BTW, I know there are exceptions, and you apparently are one of them. But the sad fact is there arent enough people like you to make production runs on most things feasible.
