Well, I finally got around to changing out the struts and spings on my 87 GXL. I put on Eiback springs with Tokico Struts. Thought I would post a few pics. I will get some after shots of how it lowered the car tomorrow. It took me 4 1/2 hours to do the job but that also included and oild and filter change while I had it up on jack stands.

This first photo shows the difference between the new and the old rear springs.

And here is the front spring and strut in place. I will get a photo of the way the car sits now tomorrow. When I finished the job it was dark outside so I couldn't get a great photo.

Looks good! Have you taken it for a drive yet? Big difference?

Yeah, I drove it over to my office. The very first thing I noticed was the speed bumps in my apartment complex. You can really feel them now with the stiffer suspension. The next thing I noticed is that the car does not dive at all upon braking and stays relatively level upon accelerating.

I will try it through some twistys tomorrow out near my parent's house. Rides nice though.

My suspension was so much stiffer when I replaced it made my neck hurt for the first couple of days. I need to head up to Dallas sometime soon to pick up an aluminum hood. Maybe we can meet up while I'm there.
