When you go to start the engine, it sounds like it may start but it doesn't. I have done that EGI fuse thing a couple of times and there usually is a lot of smoke and gas fumes but still does not start. Can anyone help me?

I think this is happening to me too! When you talk about smoke, do you mean that when its cranking it is spewing thick white clouds? I believe that the engine is flooding. I notice this after leaving my car parked for a while this will happen. If i keep cranking not letting up eventually she starts and never has this problem agian until i park for a while. I am replacing the starter soon because I have problems with it and may help cure this. Im going to try to clean injectors to figure out if its a leaking one that is causeing the problem. Good luck I keep you in mind if i find anything.

your water seals might be bad, white smoke is coolant/water burning away

the car should start with no probelm. check if you are burning coolant.

on the cold engine pull the radiator cap then start teh car, see if it bubbles, its

normal for the coolant to move around a tad but it shouldnt bubble is it does your

water seals are toas and u need a rebuild. if u keep driving your water temp will

eventually get higher and keep overheating the engine.

No dosent do that..... White smoke is a signal for burning coolent, yet i believe a severe flooding will also cause white smoke. The smoke smell strongly of gas.

So if it is flooding, then how would I solve this? I've cleaned the injectors and tried that EGI fuse thing and I have a new starter. I had that buzzered come on and I put some coolant in it and it stopped. The car has been sitting for almost a year too. I may have to change the oil because it smelles like gas.

This car still will not start. It is starting to get frustrating. I have done that MMO oil thing and all it did was smoke real bad, but not start. I have also done the EGI fuse thing and it did not work. Can anyone help me?

try pull starting it behind a truck at like 20 mph. your problem is most likely a leaking injector

i have the exact same problem i think. white smoke of gas smell. engine sputters but dosent fire off. ive done the egi unflooding, ive done the spark plug removal/turn engine unflooding to. then i try again and more white smoke smelling like gas and no fire. all this after my exhaust blew up or clogged, or my engine went bad im tempted to get a new 3rd geen 13b-rew in it anyway. mabey its time to start looking into it more. but ill keep checking this thread to see if there is something else i can try.

Do you think it mught be a leaking injector? I have already checked the secondary ones, but not the primary ones yet.
