Car Sat For Year Or Two, Will Turn Over But . . .

Thanks guys for all of the reply's!! I finally had a day off so I got the chance to work on my cars. Everything you guys said helped me out! I had to drain the fuel tank and then put some back in. Then I changed out the fuel filter. It still would not fire! So I thought I would pull the fuel pump out and check if it was working right, which it was not. I got a new one for $99 at NAPA. I replaced it and tried it again. It finally started to fire a little! So I charged the battery up again and waited till tonight to try it again. It started right up!
The idle was very high around 1500-2000 then it droped down. It was running good for about 5-10 mins then it started to lower in idle and started to die.
Now what might not be good, white smoke started to come out of the exhaust. It had a strang smell also. What could this be? Seals?
Anyways when it started to do that I thought I should turn it off and tell you guys.
I know it has sat for like 2 years but it was running fine and then came the smoke.
The engine was running very smoth and quiet at first.

If a coolant seal is bad, the only way I have heard to fix it is to tear down the motor and replace the orings. If it isnt too bad it may still be driveable. I have been driving mine with a small leak for 6 months though I am planning on rebuilding the motor this summer.

get a coolant pressure system tester, if it holds pressure then you are all good, if not then it's your water seal or a leak somewhere. it's really the only way to see if your seals are working properly. otherwise you could have different problems going on.

I had 2 shops pressure test my engine and tell me it was fine. They however couldnt explain why I kept boiling over coolant. A rotary specialist shop finally chemically tested the coolant and told me im forcing combustion gasses into the coolant. Is there anything special you have to do when pressure testing a rotary?
