Hey everyone. Recently my car has been stalling. One situation was when my dad was driving it goin around 65 and it just turned off on him. He just popped it back in gear and let it turn back on. We took it out today and it did the same thing like 3 times but at different speeds. So why would this be happening?? I' thinkin it's the injectors or the fuel pump. I think i should prolly send them away to get cleaned anyway. How much would this cost to send them to a company such as RC Engineering???

I'd check for leaks in your intake after the AFM.

 

You mention the car dropping off at 65 mph does the car die then just come back or die completely needing a restart? Is there any stumble before it dies or just dies out of the blue? sounds like a Mass Air Flow sensor problem

 

It just completely turned off. So he had to put it in gear and let itself restart. There isnt really any stumble it just turns off. I'll check for any leaks though but keep it coming lol.

 

this sounds more like a CAS module going out, the pick-up coil is acting up, try swapping a known good CAS in and drive it if you can.

 

CAS is the cranke angle sensor right??? We've also been having trouble timing it. Could that be because of the CAS also??

 

Yes, the CAS = Crank Angle sensor, if you cannot time it it might be your problem as well

 

ahhh! i went to pick up my sister from school like 5 minutes from my house and it was worse. on the way back home it shut off so i put it in gear, came back on then turned off, turned it on then it turned off. i had to pull over and sit there for like 5 minutes with the car off. turned it back on and just barely got home. it felt like the car had nooo power watsoever. i had the pedal half way down and it was accelerating pretty damn slow. then i pushed it all the way down and it accelerated at the same rate. while it was at like 3000 rpm for a little bit with the gas all the way down it just suddenly opened up and it got up and started going like its supposed to then slowed back down shortly after. that total 5 minute trip took about 25 minutes. im really gettin pissed
