7,000km on rebuilt



its been happening for the past 2 weeks....its takes me 5-8 sec of cranking to start the car....sometimes i need to push on the gas pedal....when it starts, there white smoke coming out of the mufflers.....engine is still under warranty.....dont tell me if a blown coolant seal.....just oil burning up?

 

another question....the temp gauge in the dash gets it readings from where??? engine?? rad???



how do you know if the water pump is still good? would it overheat?

 

I'm not sure? but if it's still under warranty. . . bring it in!

Don't wait for something to get worse. That's what I'd do!

 

you check the plugs. maybe they are fouled. could be anything though... bad spark wire etc

 

Um....well I'm not going to tell you wants wrong lets just say this.



Be glad its under warrenty and go to the dealer right now....also take off ANY mods you have on your car no matter how unimportant they seem.....we wouldnt want the warrenty company to try and weasel out of anything now would we

what about the water pump? how do you know if its still working? temp rarely reaches half....so....wtf could it be?

 

Does the smoke smell sweetish? (like coolant?) if it's white and doesnt smell like oil... most likely coolant, which means o ring failure.

 

yeah i just smelled it....****....the warranty is good till october/november......if i get a new engine.....what kinda porting can i go with?
