As odd as this may sound to you, I have had great sucess lately with pumping the gas pedal in and out quite fast, I first pull the top 2 fuses, then crank it for 12 seconds, then I put them back in, and give it gas while cranking.. I havent started my car in like 3 weeks so it was being hesitant to start, poping and smoking and ****, and then finally after pumping the gas while cranking she came to life, turns right over now just fine...most people would say dont do it on a EFI vehicle...but its a rotary..

flooring it while cranking works better as it goes into flood clear. i need to do that to rx-8s all the damn time.

i believe only the s5 has the flood clear when floored thing right? try pull starting it if it wont start normally, it usually does the trick. and i will preach about wiring in a fuel pump switch so u can turn it off to unflood it....it is a flip of a switch and crank for a lil bit then flip it on!!no getting out of the car or anything...

Unplug the fuel pump, try it over again. It can take a few trys to get it unflooded.

God we need a sticky for this topic, no offense but i am so sick of reading about one every 2 days, please just search or put one of the 3000000000000000 flooding topics in the FAQ.

put plugs back in with fuse, unplug pump, and crank until it doesn't smell like **** out the tail.... then plug back in and it should be good.
