Ok hears my long story,

So I left work at VW and drove to Mazda to pick up some oil filters for my se, its time for its regular 2k mile LOF.

I go in bullshit for a good amont of time, leave the car running for like, a half hour maybe, a little longer. Came out the shop and the car was idleing fine. The warrenty guy came around and was ******* with me and my buddy. I rev the car to 3k a couple times and let it come to idle, but this time it didnt catch itself like normally. It started dying so, I gave it gas, but it didnt come back up it, just died nice and softly. I thought it just flooded out tried to start it nothing, but a big back fire every so often. So, I pulled the flood fuses in the engine bay cranked with a jump box, put them back in and nothing just cranks with the occasional backfire. Tailpipes really dont smell of raw gas.

I checked spark, just pulled the wires off the plug far enough to see, ones stronger then the other, but not bad enough to make it not run. I pulled the plugs out to see what was going on. One plug was more carboned, then the other, but no gas on them. Cranked it with the plugs out, no gas in the chambers puffing out, and no gas coming out with the egi fuse in.

Ok now, fuel pumps running, I can hear it, its an a1000, its huge, and behind my seat. I checked my fpr 40psi when the pumps on.

So my injectors arent firing right? So what controls the injectors? The CAS? At the time, I wasn't thinking I was hot, sweating, and frustrated. I should of pulled the CAS and spun it, while listening for the injectors to click, I'll do that tommorrw. So, my main questions are, Is the only thing that controls the injectors the CAS? If so would me loosing sprak last month intermittently, be a by product of the CAS? I had no spark to one of my leading coils so I bought a coil put it in and it missed for a couple seconds and then ran fine since then.

So I'm thinking my CAS has been shitting out on me. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

James

Idling for over half an hour? WTF?

My guess is that Al Gore happened by and saw you damaging the environment and sugared your gas tank out of spite.

Excessive idling is bad for any engine, causes carbon build-up, reduces engine oil life, and naturally wastes fuel.

Could be intermittent problem associated with the CAS or coil/igniter, likely heat-related due to high underhood temps while sitting in a parking lot idling for a really long time.

Yes, I always leave my car running for extended amouts of time, just to spite al gore and hybrid drivers

So, after work I returned to Mazda to **** with the se. I got it running only runs on one rotor pulled off the rear leading wire and the car started dying pulled the front leading off, the spark was alot weaker then the other, but still strong enough to zap my ***. The car made no difference after I pulled the wire on the front so im thinking my front injector isnt firing. I still didnt pull the CAS, to see if both my injectors click, but I did pull the top off it and checked all my points and contacts to make sure that they werent comtaminated with metal particals. Everything looked good at the connector it was a little dirty at the pins. So, I cleaned them with electrical contact cleaner, and also checked my connector at the primary coil for the harness because I have a brand new coil I put in last month and so I wanted to see why one spark was weaker, cleaned the connector. Everything seems fine. Still runs on one rotor. I didnt get a chance to go much further bc the tow truck came to bring it to my garage. so Ill be back at it tomorrow bc I need this car back to drive for alittle bit. Any ideas on what to check next?
