I busted a oil hose off that goes from my mech oil metering pump. The hose is busted off on top of my block, the uppermost one. I can't get that DAMN :madgo: banjo, butterfly, whatever the **** its called, bolt off!!! how does the damn thing work??? I need to get the clamp/bolt off to put the hose back on the nozzle. I didn't want to break anything else so this is why i posted.

You broke the plastic oil metering line, right? The banjo bolts that go into the oil metering pump can be removed with a 10 mm socket. You should really get a new hose.

That banjo thingy still won't come off. And the 11mm fits on it. It just spins around like a washer. It doens't look like a bolt either, it looks like a clamp. I mean how can the hose go over the metal nozzle, then the Banjo go over the hose, if its a nut? I can't just pull it off either, it won't come, and iv'e sprayed the bitch w/ lubrication. :dontgetit:

Are you talking about the oil injector? Your description is kind of confusing.

U know those four rubber hoses that carry oil to the engine. They are pumped by a mechancial oil metering pump, the rod from the throttle body connnects to it. Its right next to the main pulley. Under the Upper Intake the four hoses connect to 4 nozzles, where the oil is injected into the engine parts. They are connectde by a banjo type clamp/ butterfly clamp.

Now I know what you're talking about. The oil injector has to be removed. This is how everything is installed: copper washer, oil metering line, copper washer, oil injector. You need an open ended wrench to remove the oil injector. If that doesn't work then try a pair of vise-grips.

ok i got it off, with the vice grips, it was realy stuck on there, took a while. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png But ya i gotta replace the hose, is so old and hard/brittle that i can't get it back on the nozzle. one thing lead to the next, When will it ever stop? never https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

Was it the oil line that broke or the vacuum line? I would always replace a broken oil metering line. They're about $20 each. There's always something that can be done to the car.https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
