OK i have a t2 that was smashed on the side i took the motor out and put it in my vert. Now i what i wanted to know is can i use my:

RB sway bar, RB springs, tokico blues, and brake calipers from my t2 on my vert?

Is there a difference in the brake calipers and pads and all that good stuff? what about my suspension will they all fit with out cutting and stuff?

You should be able to use everything except the springs.

In fact you should swap the entire driveline: TII motor, trans, driveshaft, rear diff, axles over to the vert.

That way it truly will be just like the factory overseas!!

Oh, and don't forget getting stranded on the side of the road with a snapped axle or a blown tranmission due to, well, having an N/A powertrain.

I really hope that you swapped out the N/A drivetrain for the Turbo II's drivetrain. If not, your tranmission will not last long.

Not 100% true. I have been using an NA driveline for almost 2 years behind a TII will no ill effects (yet). I have the parts, but if it ins't broke, you get the idea.

But since he has the donor right there, do it!!

It's true, but why not swap it out, and boost more!!!!

yeah i swapped everything over including the rear end and drive shaft. thanks for the input kind of depressing that the springs will not fit that angers me greatly!

i dont know why he told you that you cant use the springs, but the springs are the same for all FC's, tii, na, s4, s5 whatever.

you can use them.

+1. only differences are the AAS sytems, and that deals with the struts.

noob question but what is aas?

The bars that we offer for the FC are the same for all models, they will fit onto the vert with no problem. The springs that we offer are intended for each specific application due to the weight differences with each model. If you attempt to install your coupe springs into the vert, the rear of the car may sit too low due to increased weight in the rear of the vert for the soft top.You can always try them to see how they would affect the ride height, but I cannot comment on how it would affect the handling of the car since we have never attempted this swap.
