if you want sloted rotars get powerslot. They fit right up. I've had no problems with them. but thats my 2 cents.

Do not buy brakes off ebay.



That is all i have to say about that. brebo doesnt make a slotted or drilled rotor for FCs

Brembo does not make slotted or drilled brakes for the stock sized rotors for 2nd or 3rd gens. Brembo rep told me they are either real brembo blanks that a machine shop slotted or drilled out. He said lately they are fake blanks to start with because machining time costs too much money in the USA for small shops. The new batches are coming from china. They are cast chinese rotors and drilled or slotted or both in china. The boxes are fakes too.



Genuine brembos only come in blanks. Previous to 2002 they had only fronts and did not offer rears. Now they off rears. Please see attached file. These are genuine brembos I ordered from tirerack.com



B25362 are the fronts

B25621 are the rears.



These part numbers are for a TII or NA GXL/others wtih 4 pots and use the vented rear rotors.

Now Im confident in buying the "REAL" brembos. As long as I know the part numbers and what they look like, im sure I can do the rest of the research with ease. Tirerack seems the right place to go. Ill try them.

I think the master cylinder is different between the single piston and 4 piston front caliper models.

yes, but I am almost sure you can use the smaller master cyl with the 4 pots, no problem. My old roommate's 89 GTU had the 4 pot conversion, but I'm pretty sure it still had the 1 pot master cyl.

hrm... that woudl change how far the travel of the pedal goes. Because in hydrualics the X-sectional area of your pump defines the hydraulic pressure you get as a function of force applied. This will affect the pressure exerted on each of the 4 pistons on each caliper...



It would affect how much clamping force you get as well from the braking system.
