In the process of changing rotors and pads, My front left, drive side, rotor and hub are stuck together, and I mean stuck. We tried heating pounding but being careful of the hub. I would rather not take to a shop to get it done. Would a puller work? The car had been sitting for 4 years until i got it, blown coolant seal.

well. i would try taking off the hub and seeing you can get it off of there when its off the car. i know this might sound stupid..maybe you can use some of that rust remover or that stuff they use to loosen bolts(not wd40) but it gets into the grooves and greases all that **** up..its thicket then wd40. wish i knew the name..and i doubt this helps..but its worth a try

we tried penetrating oil and had it off the car. im just going to go try a puller.

dont your rotors have 2 smaller holes close to the wheelstuds that you can thread some bolts thru. (see pic) if so when you thread the bolts in it pushes the rotor out.

Yes, it does the hanes manual had it in. The screws we so rusted and the head stripped. We drilled them out

No , their should be some threaded holes that you can stick a long bolt in and keep turing it untill the rotor pops off, when you go to put it all back together wire brush everything and spray it with WD40, it will make it much easier the next time.

Hood bolts work good.

That's only for the rear brakes. There are none on the front.



When I first bought my car 4 years ago, it took a 25 ton hydrualic press, oxyacetlyne torch and lots of 4 letter words to get it off. I tried all the soaking this, spray that, smash with this. None worked.
