i am going to turn the boost up tomorrow. what is the most boost you would recommend on pump gas 92 octane.

i have all the supporting mods stand alone wide band hybrid stage 4 etc.

i am running 14 psi right now.

i would like to try 20 psi

thanks

depends on a lot of stuff.

what octane? we've got 87-89-91 and 100 at the pump here, anything over 12psi on 91 is just bad news.

how well is it tuned? more boost you run the more important all the little stuff becomes

going right from 14 to 20, imo isnt a great idea, maybe go 16, 18 and see how it is

I could never understand this 20psi goal i keep hearing of. People talk of psi like its 1/4 mile times.

How about making the most power the engine can make, safely?

i wouldnt go too much over 12psi without some super duper intercooling/water injection.

well 92... maybe a little more

What heat range spark plugs? If you haven't already go a few steps colder. As mike said, take it in steps, don't do a 6psi jump. What compression rotors also? Unfortuneatly you are looking for trouble, not because of the octane, but beacuse you are choking the engine on that turbine side of the turbo...

Nice users name btw, I need to get some more T-shirts from Lockheed.

i am running the stock plugs. where can i get some colder plugs ? NGK?

s4 rotors 3 mil seals.

what do you mean choking the engine? is my turbo not allowing enough exhaust flow? i believe it has been clipped. it is a bnr stage 4.

what are the repercussions of choking my engine

good info thanks

You can't pack 20psi of **** in a 5 psi bag. The exhaust side of a stock turbo, clipped or not, is too small. Choking the exhaust leads to detonation. Get a full to4.
