How do I find out if I have a blown Apex seal. I just bought an 89 TII and the guy said mazda told him that it had a blown rotor... I have never heard of that, I just figured a blown seal or something. Is there a certain way that I can tell this without just tearing the engine down ???

 

Blown rotor most likely = Blown apex seal on one rotor. Check the compression.
