This is my first turbo car and thought it would be fun to have a blow off valve, yeah I know... rice. At least it will help when i decide to upgrade the turbo anyways I installed it in place of the stock one and it isn't very loud, it's an ARC (just thought I'd try and be different from others). I've adjusted it and hasn't made much of a difference, actually I hear it in the AFM. Is this normal? Shouldn't it blow out from the valve itself? Will I be able to hear it in neutral when I rev it up? So I can adjust it without having to do laps around my neighbourhood. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go back to ricer town until you figure out what a blow off valve actually does!!! Besides making cool little noises.

I didn't like the loudness of the blow off valve, so it got piped back to the I/C Piping.

Well when you only run 10 or less PSI it isnt going to be very loud. Are you sure the BOV is opening?

you guys could give him an actual answer instead of beaking the guy off, first off ARC bovs are not very loud but you do notice a WHOSSH noise, second off, check your vacumm line and make sure you have a good vacumm, with out proper vacumm the blow off valve will not open, if all this is good and you want a loud BOV, i would suggest the HKS SSQV, turbosmart megasonic or supersonic and the turboXS type H, the RFL is crap

and you could try giving him good info.

HKS SSQV is *****, spend like $300+ on the piece of ****, and how is it made? with a crappy paper thin rubber bellows inside. A rubber bellows THAT SHATTERED AT 17PSI ON MY CAR.

as for the TurboXS TypeH-RFL, its a good blow-off valve, if you have common sense, its a metal cylinder moving inside another metal cylinder, therefore you need to grease it every now and then to prevent siezure of the internal cylinder. It is the best, most effective, simplest design. **** HKS and there crappy $300+ paperweight.
