Block Off Plates

what gauge steel is best to make them from? Part of the stud for the nut on top the acv broke off on me today while removing it. The only thing i can do now is block it off, theres still enough threads to put a plate there but not the acv. I have some kind of thin stuff laying around thats galvanized would this work for a while?

grab the stud with locking pliers, and unscrew it.



then replace it with a proper bolt, you can put your acv back on if you want.

well its been needing to be blocked off for a while i just put a peice in behind it for temporary use. Will the thin stuff work for a while until i can get something better made?

Just get them from K2RD.com they are cheap as hell.

yes I agree I got mine form them very good work. The hex heads give it a solid look.

I would think you could get em at a hardware store, but not totally sure on that. wouldn't hurt to look if you really needed some.
