You have no idea what you are talking about, at all. Please don't talk **** about me on something you don't know about.

No, the only thing BBKs allow is the fact that they can go through cylces of heat transfer better then the smaller sized rotors on stock braking systems. TIRES stop a car better, wider, sticker tread are what leads to stoping faster, not bigger rotors.

You guys can talk **** about me all you want, but on this topic I am right. Sorry to inform you, but brakes do not stop a car, tires do.

Ok so the driver has no imput on the car stopping? I garentee you, I can stop a car with bald tires in the snow better then you can, the relationship between brakes and tires are VERY close. But the tires don't stop the car, the provide grip and the needed friction.

What about using the Wilwood aluminum hat rotors with some good brake cooling things from AWR. And Corksport has a slightly larger rear rotor kit for the FC as well as 12.4" and 13" 4 pot front upgrade, and the 13" 6 pot set-up.

Hey J9, did Paul have to make any of the parts in his FC wilwood kits or was it all stuff you could purchase from Wilwood?

**** i has totaly forgot about cork sport, i had seen the brake kit listed at one time. but like i said i am goin the hard way and making what i think will work the way that i want to. off the shelf parts in kit form work well for general public use but may not work the best for what im looking for.

Wow, I have never seen so much misinformation in one thread in my life.

Some of what you guys are saying is true.

Bigger rotor= bigger surface area= more stopping force (ie friction0= your *** gonna stop quicker. Yes if you have bald *** tires it isnt going to make a **** bit of a difference. If you are locking the wheels something is wrong, wheter it be with the car or between the seat and the steering wheel, well Ill let you guys be the judge of that one.

If you want good breaking go buy some new (not machined) rotors and some Hawk hps pads, you will be more than happy with them for street driving. If you are planning on racing the car you might want to look in to some more serious brakes, but untill then, dont worry about it.

And to whom started this topic, it sounds more like you have a problem with your braking system than anything else, flush your old fluid out, put some new in, I almost bet its boiling.

For someone who says they haven't seen so much misinformation, your post is way wrong? Are you seriously saying tires make no difference in braking? I really hope your not.

The bigger the brake Doesn't make it better. You have to find the size balance between a brake kit that will allow heat transfer properly and have the least unsprung weight on the braking system. Bald tires make a **** load difference in braking, your statement was borederline retarted.

did you not read all of this, this car is being now used for mostly track use and not street use, also i am using freash dot 4 fluid and powerstop cross drilled rotors with green stuff pads.

now i agree with what the next post says its all about balance , and right now i have too much motor and tire under the car and the brakes do not equal the performance of the rest of the car.

This is some good tech information, we should throw this into the FAQ's, and not let it get lost in the threads.

So we have concluded just a few things. Bigger rotors=more rotor surface to help you stop sooner. Also having the proper tires with enough tread also helps, as having the correct type of pads needed for the specifics of the car whichever it is. Also having the proper fluid, stainless steel brake lines, and the proper brake master cylinder.

nopistons94-stop attacking people, you look like an *** doing it. you are arguing with a person on an INTERNET CAR FORUM. grow up.
