3rd Gen FaQ

You can see the section that is unpolished, how nasty it is..., I have only just begun this, I have went over it with 120 and 220 grit sandpaper for about an hour each.. Can't wait to have it blinging, I just ripped off my turbo and lim for polishing tonight too. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif Looks good so far.

Take the 220 a bit further, once you are happy with where you are at move on to 320.

Then take out all the scratch marks from the 220 with the 320. etc etc..

You can always go back a grit if you missed a spot that you want to catch.

ps save your fingertips and use a palm sander. Costs about $40 form Home depot. Then use a pnuematic rotary tool with conical sanders for the crevases. Rotary tool will run you about $25.
