I can't tell you what it is but since no replies yet I'll at least pass on what little I can.

In my '88 I used to get a beep when I locked the door from inside and the passenger lock actuator didn't take the passenger side lock down all the way for some reason. Not sure but I think that there would be a separate CPU even on cars back then to control things like this and anti-theft and other non-engine related stuff. I think your beeps are realted to something like that rather than running/driving issues.

When adjusting clutch could you have hit some wiring under the dash, maybe for something controlled by the CPU?

all i did was break the nut loose and turn it out by hand its a 87 base fyi i cant seem to find anything out about it i know what a low oil warning sounds like i dont have to worry about low coolant since i dont have the sensor for that i know what the door a jar sounds like and i have thought of everything im changing my oil tomorrow i dont expect it to change anything but i need to do that is there a way to find out what the beeps mean for it?

Interesting, have to admit that I've found a few answers over there myself. I had never had any beeps for mechanical issues on either of my 2nd gens, but they were both low mileage. Never had any sensor problems with either of them come to think of it.

It would be good to have a "beeps" reference in the FAQ.

i guess but it hasnt solved my issue yet i repositioned my steering wheel and it still beeps but my turn signal cancels work fine now and the day i adjusted my clutch i got my new steering wheel off ebay but i had that on the night before and it didnt give my that beeps until i adjusted my clutch but i guess ill check underneath just in case i knocked something loose

The beeping 9 times out of ten if from the power steering computer, if your wheels is misaligned that it will give you the 5 beep code.

I forget what the others are, I always got the 4 beeps, something about the speed sensor in the pump?

well i guess i could take it to get it aligned i do have a free lifetime alignment from firestone
