With all the parts and wiring the total cost came out to be abuot 200 bucks...not bad considering what they sell kits for.

I've been thinking of putting in a Fluidyne radiator and an E-Fan in my Rx-7 ... Do you guys keep the stock fan after installing the E-Fan? And it is setup to pull air into the engine bay right? How are you guys wiring it up, are you just connecting it to run as soon as the key is in the "on" position?
|
Using both fans simultaneously would be problematic as they occupy the same space.
The Felx-a-Lite Black Magic 150 e-fan has a thermosensor that turns the fan on when the radiator reaches a certain temperature. The temperature at which the fan turns on is adjustable. The fan also has an AC trigger. Tap into the AC's electromagnetic clutch switch, and whenever the AC is on, so is the fan. The downside is the supplied fan shroud does not cover the entire radiator. Some people get around this by using the Black Magic fan in the OEM shroud. |
