Battery ground end location

Well, I have remembered everything else, but I am not able to to remember where the ground from the battery goes to. It looks as if it goes to the motor and tranny, but I dont think that this is right. Can anyone shed some light on this, 'cause the Haynes manual does not help me. Thanks.

one goes on the strut tower and the end one goes to the bolt hidden be hind the starter at leat thats where mine were

Mine was on one of the bolts that mounted the starter to the tranny.
