I just tore into my s5 jspec. two broken apex seals and a corner plug is gone. But the bad part is the housing has some good size scrattechs in both. What can I get away with? Is their any thing I can do? Has anyone ever ran one ,and if so to what result .ya I know I'm a cheap basterd but hey you gatta do what ya gatta do thanks Corbit

No dout this car is worse than any bitch i've ever paid for

phinsup 01-15-2004 01:13 AM

I'd be more surprised if you bought a j-spec and it wasn't screwed up.

sidewinderx7 01-15-2004 01:14 AM

good luck finding good used housings though ... :(

I have 1 good s5 t2 housing sitting here. But you'd be lucky to find any.

Corbit 01-15-2004 01:20 AM

So what do you want for it where in wa. are you

banzaitoyota 01-15-2004 05:09 AM

BAD and JSPEC are synonomous https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR

I may sell my good S5 TII housing. make me a reasonable offer

FaztAzzGXL 01-15-2004 09:13 AM

why dont you get some non turbo rotor housings... rip the sleeves out of them and use those if your looking for a fix? NA rotor housings are really easy to find and cheap. The car may run up to 10 degrees hotter though. just my suggestion.

cant help you, but I get to go on my soap box again, lol

J-spec- japenese junkyard engine

if you called a junkyard in the USA and asked if they

had a TII there with a engine, and they said

"oh sure we do , it only has 50,000 miles on it as well"

would you just tell them to ship it to you and drop it in the car?

Corbit 01-16-2004 02:05 AM

hell no I wouldnt just put it in my car, and after paying 700 for this one I'm incline to shove this motor up this guys ass. The only thing cool is dude gave me a hand shake type warrenty , So I'm trying to track him down ,its my understanding that he doubles up on what he paid for it , my thinking is he should break down with the cash or hook me up with another core and I keep this heep

Corbit 01-17-2004 08:33 PM

I just got a hold of the guy I got the motor from and he said he'd tighten me up fro the housings . So how about the scratches to the rotor Atkins said I could sand them out I would like to know if anyone has had to do this and if so what result thanks Corbit
