I have the Apexi N1 Dual exhaust. I've noticed it catches so much attention and the droning is a little too much for me. I'm thinking of selling it for $400. It has only been used for 2 full tanks of gas (approx. 250 miles). In it's place, I was thinking of going Racing Beat Full exhaust. How does the Racing Beat compare to the Apexi? Sound? Performance? Build quality? Just those general questions. Thanks for the help.

Well I am running racing beats full exhaust and love it. I have there header, pre-silcener, and cat-back. The tone is great, kind of quite at idle, and not too loud until you really get on it. In the upper revs, it starts to get loud. It doesn't seem very loud in the car though, even tough I have been told that people can hear my car about a half a mile away and it doesn't drone much on the interstate. Over all I am really happy with the exhuast.

O sorry I just saw that you have a turbo, so I dunno if my post helped or not, sorry.

You didn't get the silencers with it? I consider mine very quite with the silencers on and no droning. THis system with the silencers on is much quieter than my dyno max system I had on before.

the racing beat is quieter but if you run the silencers like turborotor said it should be quiet enough. i'm running an apexi n1 single and its loud as hell but i like it loud https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The RB system's quality and performance are very good. The 50-60 HP increase that they advertise is the real thing. The thing that keeps the system pretty quiet is the presilencer.

Well since the Apexi with the silencers don't really help me GAIN power, I thought it defeats the purpose. The thing is, I don't really mind the loudness, but every cop in every city I drive in does. Oh yea, is the Racing Beat one really a Ful exhaust as in turbo-back? If so, is there no catalytic converter? Wouldn't that make it really loud?

The Racing Beat system is turbo back:

It has a presilencer which quiets things down a great deal.

Did that say 50 to 60 hp increase?? I know that cant be right.

sidewinderx7 06-18-2002 12:35 PM

from what i've heard from people who have the turbo back system its true. The power increase is awesome. They say 32% increase, which is about 50-60hp ... Never heard anything different even from people who have it.

*has 600 or his 750 for the rb turbo back*

*waits for his next paycheck*

then i can tell you first hand https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
