Well my second Mazda rebuilt engine bit the big one today...with only 18k. Did the famous carbon lock and there goes the farm...The first motor lost the front rotor coolant seal and kept flooding the front rotor....only 12k on it.. However Mazda replaced the first motor under the warranty, 1 year unlimited mileage and are prorating the second motor gonna charge me only half the labor cost. They feel their motors should last a little longer than 7 months and 8 months respectivly.. I guess once you get addicted to the old rotor nothing can deter you.... Also the dealer is going to call me when Mazda gets an RX8 in town and let me DROOL on it...mabe even drive it

Yep , I got my first 7 in 83 and put 147k on it with no problems, I even raced it back then. Altogether I have had 6 Mazda rebuilts in to 7s I have owned in the past 4 years...I took 3 to get my 84 going and this will be the 3rd in my 88...
