There was an 87 for sale at the drag strip yesterday i talked to the guy and he said it was running on one rotor and needed a rebuild. I looked around the outside of it and the interior for a little bit and then asked him to pop the hood. He did and i started looking around it was missing the air box(nothing at all was connected to it) and a few radiator caps. I looked at it a little more then looked at him and said you want how much for it? $1500. i said ill give you $500 cash. He told me no i cant go lower than 1100 becuase i need the money for my race cars ( 67 nova and accord ). The funny thing is he was telling me that he looked around at the stock times and what he could get out of it and decided it wasnt worth it becuase it would be to slow and his higly modded racing accord only ran 14's, wtf.

Haha...I think what he meant was the fact that he wanted a cheap race car and not one that looked good. Parts for an accord or nova are cheap as hell. He probably only gets his parts from autozone too and when was the last time you were actually able to find any part for an Rx-7 there?

How can you tell it's been in an accident by looking at those pics j9fd3s?

I was going to ask the exact same thing.. but, didn't want to feel like a jackass in the end.. well.. the front left light isn't there.. maybe that could be an indication..

I'd like to know that as well? I am looking for a nice TII with a blown motor? For $1100 it doesn't look too bad.
