Yup, the light bulb went on on the way to look at the car, i had remembered the same thing happening with my se, just took a few to sink in.

The ******* that borrowed my car told me he tightened the belt, the thing was WAY to tight.

1979rx7 01-17-2006 07:36 PM

what about the alternator check the charge

toplessFC3Sman 01-18-2006 12:18 PM

you might even need to check the bearings in the alternator, make sure there isnt any play since it was overtightened

phinsup 01-18-2006 02:54 PM

it was prolly driven only 15 or 20 miles with it being that tight, so i should be ok!

Tomoya 06-21-2006 11:40 PM

Yupp my alternator belt went, and all lights on!

You seem to be pretty good at resurrecting older threads. Theres one in GenD that you might try searching for, its title is "Im at a customer's house..."

Just jokin with ya man, i just think its funny

I mistook the thread title to be a clever euphemism describing the deplorable intellect of a majority of nopistons members! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

j9fd3s 06-23-2006 01:54 PM

Tomoya 06-24-2006 04:13 AM

I'm going to guess that you mean that all the idiot lights come on when the engine is running? Well, my car has done something similar in the past; upon starting the car sometimes, all the idiot lights would come on and it'd idle just ever so slightly like crap, but hardly.

turning the engine off and back on always has fixed it, and since I half-assed some grounds, it hasn't done it but once.
