You won't need an adapter. I have no air filter on my turbo, just a screen. The screen keeps big things out of my turbo.https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png One dangerous thing about running no filter, etc. is getting your hand stuck in there. :0

Then why would u ever use an airfilter with a turbo? i have seen lots of turbos w/ airfilters.. whats the difference between intake on turbo and n/a, i mean y do u need an airfilter for an N/A but not a turbo?

The only purpose the air filter serves is to keep junk out of your motor. Removing it will allow for more flow.

He's right, you won't need an adapter. The reason most guys put filters on their turbos(I am) is to keep things from damaging the turbine. The cars you see with just a screen like 13BAce's are normally only track cars that won't see a lot of debris. I am using my filter just because I live on a gravel road, and drive through back country twisties w/ many little rocks and such so its just a saftey thing....you really don't NEED an air filter for any engine, lol...I drove my NA for about 3 hours w/ out one..it sounded cool https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I would run a filter, but right now my IC piping is running in front of the turbo. So there's no room for one. That's the main reason I'm using the screen. After I re-do the piping I'll use a filter.

Smart move....I can't wait til my filter is finally put to USE!!! Down to about 5 days about...maybe 4, I'll see how soon i can find a MAF and a stock charge relief valve...I'm using it until I get the FMIC where I can put my TurboXS Type H BOV https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Something like that should just burn up inside the motor.

I bought a 4" K&N in the summer for about $80, but after I did the IC I couldn't use it. I WAS able to use the clamp. So I paid $80 for a clamp.
