My 1990 Vert Rx7 has the flashing air bag light issue. It's 6 flashes and then a pause. However if I drive the car about an hour the flashing stops and stays out for the duration of the drive. If I stop and shut off the car for a little while and jump back in and restart the car the air bag light works as normal. No flashing. Letting it sit overnight brings the 6 flashes and a pause back again. This routine happens every time I drive it.

So what may I be dealing with here? Is this a typical situation for this?

I know what the 6 flashing codes may mean, connector, clock spring or def air bag, I just don't know why it stops as described above and appears normal then reverts.
