Add Coolant Light

it just started today, the add coolant light comes on and the radiator is full. could it just be the sensor? if so where is it located at so i can change it. thanks in advance.

my car does the same **** from time to time.. coolant is there.. but the light stays on til i start driving.. weird.

There's probably air in your cooling system.

There's a bleeder screw on the coolant elbow on the radiator. Take the screw out and fill up the coolant until it starts coming out of there.

air should slowly bleed out of the system and be replaced by coolant as long as there are no leaks in your coolant system.



the add coolant light and buzzer work properly, whatever you do, don't disregard/ disable that safty feature. It's saved my *** dozens of times.

When I'm a little low on coolant (I know mine leaks), it'll only buzz until the car warms up, or until the thermostat opens.

I'm going to, I just discovered the problem. My ghetto-fied coolant block off under the intake is no longer doing its job.
