ok, ive removed the ACV and the air pump, ive also removed the small pipe leading to the exhaust that i guess the air pump pumps its air from??? so do i even need to block off the ACV? i have aftermarket exhaust (thats why lil pipe is gone)

 

Yes, the ACV needs to be blocked off...the blockoff plates arent expensive...check mazdatrix and racing beat...



oh...and if your car backfires when shifting...its ok
