10-40 castrol....use purolator's filter for the car. Least restriction and half-decent filtration (just get the rocks out)

put it in the spark plug holes turn the motor over a few times by hand...let it sit over night. Take off the cats and let it idle for a min the next morning with open exhaust. Nice happy clean motor guts now

AKA the ATF trick

oil is about $2 a quart

filter anywhere from $3.50 and up

5 quarts of oil is needed

you probably already have a metric tool set, you will also need the

right size oil filter wrench, a drain bucket, jack and stands, some rags,

and a funnel. I personally pour the first quart carefully, then cut the bottom of that oil container open with a razor blade so I always have a nice clean funnel

to use.

Dont forget a container to pour the used oil in and bring it somewhere to be disposed of, dont dump in or throw it in the garbage, do the right thing.

yea cutting the bottle and using it as a funnel is a good idea, no chance of getting **** from an old funnel into your car.

on my first oil change for my 7 i decided to go "high class" and get the purolator "pureone" filter "with micronic filtration"....i thinks it's overdoing it but it's nice and shiny ohhh ahhh. lol
