Ive got the s5 intake but since the plug dont fit I put my s4 intake on instead. J9fd3s and pengaru I took off the MOP but what exactaly is the front cover I have to take off? Can I take my old front cover from my 88 engine and old MOP and throw it on the 89 or is that impossible?

yes you can take the 88 front cover and put it on the s5 motor, i believe that was already suggested by someone else https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

it's kindof a pain, you have to remove the eccentric shaft bolt from the front of the engine, and *carefully* remove the eccentric hub+pulley with the clutch pedal pressed down (use a piece of wood).

The reason for this is there are two thrust bearings in the front assembly on the eccentric shaft. They are centered by a spacer/collar. When you pull the hub off, if the clutch is not pressed down, the eccentric shaft can slide back permitting the collar to move around and let the thrust bearings fall off and then when you go to reassemble, the thrust bearing gets pinched by the collar and it's all fucked up.

so if you swap covers, make sure your clutch pedal is down all the way the entire time the eccentric shaft bolt is removed.

Lets hope Im not speakin to soon, thanx guys. Oh and Ive got an automatic (wich is def gonna be changed soon) do I have to do nething special to keep the eccentric shaft in place or an automatic allready does that?
