OK so last week i picked up a 88 vert



starter went out so i replaced that today and how it starts



did a tuneup and its still falling on its face. its almost like the motor isnt advancing or something. if i climb rpm then it spins up just fine but if i WOT it even without any load on the engine it stumbles badly.



i checked the ignitors and it seems the one in the front of the car has a much stronger spark than the one next to the firewall.



This thing is guttless and i checked all the plugs are new and in good working order.





HELP!!!!!!!!!

 

I would start with a compression check. Then i'd take a close look at the plugs and see what they are doing, oil on them, fuel, carbon, etc..
