That's exactly what my friend's car did when the motor blew (started sputtering and died). Bring a compression tester with you and ask him if you can check it out. Even if the motor is blown, that's not a bad price for a clean shell.

and if the motor isnt blown and compression checks out then what would it be i really want a rx7 or at least something rwd and is an import but i dont want to spend a lot of cash on the car if the motor is going to just be going out in the next 3000 miles or so id rather have the motor swapped out instead of sending it to a shop and spending a lot of money having them tell me its this that and that and its going to cost xxxx to fix if the moter is just going to give out in the next 3000 or so id rather save that cash and buy or rebuild the engine
