how strong are the 86-88 auto trans?

will they hold up to a bp-port?

what about drag racing?

is there any mods that can be done?

higher stall converter?

i think the racers prefer the earlier 3 speed non OD trans, they used to make kits, and it'll stand up to plenty of hp, although back in the day that was like 350hp...



i think the OD 4 speed box is weaker.



they used to mod the converters, not sure if anyone still does it
