6 ports? weld open or electric actuation?

I recently purchase a 1987 N/A. i have rebuilt the motor with 1 piece corner seals 93 corner springs new apex seals and new rotor housings. i have removed all the emmisions the A/C and PS fuel pulsation dampener and everything else not needed to make it run. i have a racing beat true dual header and a custom (home made) dual exhaust i have also recently installed a new aliminum flywheel and a new clutch. i have also done all the basics air intake and stuff. my six ports are not opening with the header it has the tube for it but my exhaust has almost no backpressure so they obviosly dont work. What will the torque be like if i weld them open? I was also wondering if anyone has tried the electric mod thing from the rotory resurection site. how does it work is it worth the time and money?this is the mod i was talking about

Whoa, easy! Dont jump, life aint that bad!
My suggestion is that you tie the 6 ports open, then go for a ride. If you like it and can live with it, Do it! But there is no benefit to not having them if they work.
A functioning 6 port system is beneficial to making power throuout the power band. So its better to keep it so long as it works. But you already knew that.

I modified my lower intake manifold by cutting out the aux port actuator rods and running with no aux ports. I can't stand it. The car has no torque. I plan to switch back to a working six port system soon.
