i thought it was the lower the ratio the faster, but when i thought about it after like 5 minutes i was like im a fing moron, say you put the 4.30 ratio in a 88 5 speed n/a, its a really big difference?i know it would also depend on which model it was but i dont really know a whole lot about gear ratios, just havnt read up on them.thanks
i woke up :P |

Hmmm. So these 4.30 gears.... will they fit in the rear end of an '88 TII? Any difference between the gears for an N/A and a Turbo? I imagine pulling the diff out and opening it up and replacing the gears is a bit of a bear... Anybody here done this?

I've never swapped gears, but the differential is pretty easy to take apart.

A GOOD engine swap will take longer than that. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png |

The setup-up of the ring n pinion needs to be done by pros, The pumpkin installation is definately DIY!!
