Hold up---I dont care what alternator you get--its not going to give you 14.4 volts for a major system.Im running 2400 watts and a real amp that puts out 800 watts will kill your juice.# 1 you need the right wiring--hot and ground should be the same.# 2 You have to get a cap.when your subs hit low--it drains the **** out of your electrical system.Your cap stores the juice to keeps it at 14.4(actually your lucky to keep it at 14 period)And also you need a great battery Otima,or stinger.When it hits it drains the battery first then your alternator trys to play catch up and charge it back .If you got a nice cap It takes alot of the strain off.If you go up to alot of wattage--for db drags we are talking multiple batteries ,caps and even alternators.--

 

yayyyyyy just got my FD alternator today... it was surposed to be here 3 weeks ago so I had already considered it lost in the mail LOL... so no GM one for me now

 

damn i wanna get an FD altenator, i just had my FC alternator fully rebuilt and polished too
