If I jam on my clutch hard, which happens often, there is a prominent thunk. Does this involve some kind of motor mount? (and it's not the sound of my foot hitting the floor)

This morning on my way to work I noticed the sound of trickling water every now and then. It sounded like quite a bit, and the sound was coming from behind the dash somewhere. Any guesses?

So I lied, here's a third...I know my AC doesn't work, the compressor's frozen and belt removed. But recently it got cold and I noticed my heater doesn't work either. I cleaned out the blower like someone suggested, but that didn't help but blow the air a little more. Suggestions are appreciated.

I'm guessing the car has cooling system/heater core issues.

Check your clutch master cylinder for that watery sound...as for the heater/ac thing...sounds like a clog/crimped hose or something...check your heater hoses...

Check like how? I mean, what do I look for? Just push the clutch and listen? Talk to me like I don't know what the hell's going on.

the air bubble sound is water in the heater core. the lack of heat could be a few things.

1. there is no coolant in the heater--> air bubbles?

2. the logicon/airmix motor is bad

the clutch thing could be a mount or maybe a driveline. does it make the noise if you get on and off the gas? or is it only when you push the clutch?

It pretty much only makes that sound when I jam the clutch. It's like when I jam on the clutch real fast, it feels like I'm kickin the **** out of the motor.

Is adding coolant to the heater like just dumping it in, or is that involved (like pressurized or something)?

My GXL used to make alot of fluid noise from under the dash at high rpm, it probably still does it but with open exhaust it's not audible.... I researched the problem and it turned out this noise was coolant flowing through the return line of the heater hose. There was a TSB about this, you can view the summary here:

C15-039/87

hopefully that url works. I looked up the TSB in alldata and it turned out they just inserted an orifice in the return line to restrict the flow, the noise is just annoying, everythings functioning just fine (if this problem is what you are experiencing) and the orifice wil quiet it down but actually restrict flow through the hose....

I like their answers :bigok:

pengaru, that sounds right, I also drive a Bronco at work and it sometimes made the same sound, but nothing ever broke or worked improperly. Thanks for the info.

While talking it over with my boss, we recalled that the Bronco was real low in coolant. So that's probably a factor. I'll check my coolant level before I leave work.
