Does anyone know how many second gens came with back seats? The car I have is a 2 seater but I would really prefer to have a 2+2, since I have a little boy. Is it possible to swap all the interior parts from a 2+2 into a 2 seater, and are they really hard to come by?

The parts are around, just have to look a little. He'd better be small though, because there's not a lot of leg room. Check the For Sale section of forums.

He is pretty small, he's 2. And I can't post a wanted ad yet on the For Sale section cuz I don't have 15 posts yet.

You can also check the for sale listings on rx7club.com, I've seen a few there before. Swap shouldn't be that hard once you have the parts.

ya... strapping a car seat in the back and compromising the safety of your child sounds like an excellent idea. not.

This is why my next car must have a back seat. I would not make a rig to have him sit in the back without proper, legal safety straps. I suggest getting a 2nd car to drive daily.

yeah it isnt very hard to swap the rear seats in. ive installed them on my t2.

sometimes tracking down a set can be somewhat tricky, u will need at least the top and bottom of the seats, the seatbelts, and the two u brackest that attach to the shock tower ( to lock the seats in up position. Then u may want the small carpet peice that goes infront below the seats hanging down. and behind. Also posibly the shock tower carpets.

or u can cut holes in the shock tower carpet for hte u brackets to come out of. And just cut your old carpet to fit in the front.
