Hey guys, theres an 89 rx7 that im looking at getting which ive been told is the s5 non turbo... the only thing is, i believe the s5 is meant to have colour coded trims whereas this car has black trims....



Was the an option to get the s5 with black trims or was it only colour coded?

 

are you 100% sure its an '89? ...only s4's (86-88) came with the black trim panels around the car. Unless the guy painted them himself out of poor taste

Hi, definately a 89, first registration is May 198... although i am in the UK....

oddly enough, it seems that UK s5 models retained the black body trim and the smaller front bumper.
