1989 Fuel door won't open

adjust the cable check the bracket see if its tight

Remove the carpet in the rear of the car on the other side of the fuel door. You should feel the cable where it attaches to the retractable finger that allows the fuel door to be opened. Feel around and try to remove the cable, grease it up, and adjust the cable if necessary. I'm pretty sure you can still remove the cable with the fuel door closed. If none of that works, get a buddy to pull on the lever and you pry on the door at the same time, it may pop open.
