Rear vibration and clunking is usually from one of two things, u-joints or transmission mounts.

Now they get more complex from their, but that's usually the case.

i had the same problem on my 1st gen. it ended up being the u joints as well. cost me about 40 bucks for each one and did the labor myself https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Yeah, the driveshaft could cause problems like that.
