the mounts are different for the engine and transmission, so you'd need to fab something, its fairly simple.

and then you need to plumb up the cooling systems and a front mounted intercooler and your ecu...

its a big job, but its mostly adapting radiator and oil cooler lines

i think having a standalone will make the job a LOT simpler than if you had the stock ecu. so i think you've already got a huge advantage over most, in that aspect.

the rest, like j9 says, is about fabrication and adapting cooling stuff to fit

good luck man, keep us posted!

Mazdaspeed7 makes some pretty nice mounts for putting rew in a FC chassis.

ok so now i can get a front cut for a reasonable price, and i have my standalone but i think im gunna use the standard ecu for now..i have a few questions about it though.

because mine was an auto will i need the FC pedal box or will the FD one fit easily?

Will i need a custom tail shaft or does the turbo manual FC one fit?

will it all plug up to my cluster like will my speedo and all that gear work or will i need to do some re wiring?and is that hard?

also will the shifter sit in the correct position same as a FC box?

thanks help on this for those who have done it will be greatly appreciated.

cheerz
