Hey guys I need some help! I just got the spark issue figured out (accidently) and now this! I'm getting fuel and I'm getting spark. It sounds like my motors running on 1 rotor. No power, sounds weird (like timing is off) its not I checked, no throttle response, sounded like timing is off but I re did the timing and no change. I held it at 3K rpm and had my friend spray starter fluid in the AFM while I revved the motor, it felt and sounded like it it just came to life so I'm assuming maybe one of the injectors is bad/clogged. I revved it to 6K and held it and pulled the injectors accesible without having to remove the intake manifold and nothing changed...wtf???!!! Can someone help me??? I'm losing it! Anyone know how to diagnose a rotory engine that sounds like its running on 1 rotor? It slowly climbs rpms but has very little throttle response and no power. It did sit for awhile (I think a year or 2) does anyone think it would be okay if I drove it under a load and tried to redline it to maybe unclog or free up the apex seals? When I rev it in neutral its not getting me anywhere. I'm wondering if taking it under a load would help. Also ima put a half a can of seafoam in my gastank tommorow to help free up the injectors and if that helps then ima do an emergency oil change because I've heard mixed emotions about rotory engines and seafoam...Help!

You mean pull the leading and training spark plugs and see if it rotates by hand? I used a mirror when I first got the rx7 and looked in there when I rotated it. I seen it was moving.

I ment like a poor mans compression test like pull both leading or trailing and see if you got combustion in both housings for 3 rotations

On my fd I had an issue where the plugs came loose on the injectors making it actually run on one rotor. Check all your connectors, especially around the area you were working in before

you will know when your running on one rotor. The L and T plugs on the back rotor on mine both fouled. It sounded like a chainsaw or a weed wacker.
