255/40/17 in the rear. so a low profile with a 17 inch rim. and the brand in Ventus. never heard of them before these set. came on the car with the rims. my 60 was 2.2xx. im sure with some nice 15inch welds and a good set of drag radials or slicks. my time would drop drastically.

Oh, hell yes! I've got a pair of the Hoosier drag radials on the stock T2 rims, and my wife ripped a 1.89 60'.

I was gonna go the Weld route, but couldn't decide how wide to go and whether they'd fit. Then I started hearing horror stories about how bad the wheels were in terms of having excessive runout. Figured I'd stick with the stock rims and just get a sticky tire.

yeah... i have heard the same about the welds. but i was gonna get the knock offs by jegs. havnt heard anything bad about them. and the ford 5 lug is the same as the FC. back spacing and all.

i have a set of 10inch wide slicks for 15 inch rims. i was looking to slap them on some convertible wheels, but not sure if they'll fit being 10 inchs wide.

what size you running on the tII wheels?

Doing that burnout on a street tire just hurt your time.... if its not a drag radial or a slick dont do a burnout.
