Haltech E6K extrapolates duty cycle by comparing fuel injector ms versus RPM.

If you have glitches in the RPM, it's possible to have inaccurate duty cycle readings, like those over 100% like that.

Recheck the datalogs, but check the injector MS instead of DC.

Also, check the RPM's, as I bet you had a spike in there.

injector m/s was 10.7. No rpm or inj m/s spikes.

I did see like an inj m/s of 12 when I hit 12psi.

Walrbo fuel pump, 4x 550 cc cleaned injectors

@ 11.6 psi in 4th gear @ 5200rpms I hit 107.8 injector duty cycle.

Using a fuel calculator I guess I have 270rwhp https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

using a .66 bsfc 15% drivetrain loss

afr was 11.0 then just went lean as all hell and I let off.

intake temps were high, 120-130 a WOT.

So whats up with all the haters thinking you can't hit 300rwhp on the stock turbo? I know its not a dyno graph, but soon I will get one.

Don't trust those calculators to give you HP. I once hit 75% duty cycle with

4 1600 cc injectors. I just plugged that into the calculator and it said 691.6 flywheel HP. That's not even close.

This is true, there are a lot of variables that I don't know for sure, ie: bsfc...

they use a bsfc that made sense when people thought the stock ecu only did about 63% injector duty, turns out the stock ecu runs over 90, so the bsfc in the calculators is off. instead of .65 its more like .85@ 10's afr

you can set the haltech bars a lot higher in ms than is actually available at that rpm.

ive seen 130% before, oops

Ah, I assumed you knew the limits of fuel injector pulsewidth versus RPM's. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Remember 8.5ms @ 7kRPM!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

yeah seths car was 130% before we fingered that out, now why its 130% @6000rpm and 8psi is the real boggle, could it be making 500rwhp@ 8psi and 6000 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

1Revvin7 06-26-2004 10:53 PM

So whats the max hp anyone has seen on the stock fuel on the dyno?

My calcutions were off, @ 12psi I see 107% duty cycle....

j9fd3s 06-26-2004 11:20 PM

dunno we'rd dynoing the cosmo t2 soon, 100% stock s5 t2 fuel
