Well, I have an opportunity to buy an 88 10AE turbo fc, and I haven't a clue what makes it so special. Yes, I know a little about the interior and creature comforts, but is that the extent to which it makes them special? I was really looking for a S5 turbo II, but I've seen that the 88 10AE seems to be somewhat sought after as well. How would the 10AE turbo compare to an S5 turbo?

Thanks a lot guys.

edit: wow, well I appear to have found this thread:

So uh, sorry for the unnecessary thread.

I would get a AE if your into restoring and making it original. If you plan on modding your car then it's just an S4. The S4 has one major advantage, RTEK-7 is only compatable with a S4. Once you decide to mod your S5 make sure you have a tuner that tunes your setup. I have a 87 T2, AE and a S5 T2. If the car doesnt have the AE emblems (white rear emblems), AE floor mats, AE steering wheel, AE keys, white AE wheels, AE seats, one piece AE shift ****/boot then its just an S4.
