I am looking to buy this, I had another thread but here is a new one with a list of all the parts, and I will try to get pics as well. Let me know what you guys think, I don’t know a ton about these cars.

1988 Mazda TII RX-7 10th Anniversary Edition

Body: Very good condition. No rust. A couple minor dimples from parking lot doors. Paint peeling on passenger side headlight cover and just next to that on hood. This is covered up when the bra is on. It is a problem common to the paint on 10th Anniversary cars.

Interior: Excellent - Mint conditon. Completely stock looking accept for the turbo timer and boost gauge. All floormats in perfect condition as mentioned below. No aftermarket stereo has ever been installed. Only the speakers have been replaced. It even has the tie-down straps in the back cargo area which is unheard of, at least by anyone that I know.

Suspension: (hardware is 8-10k miles old)

Suspension Techniques springs

Tokico "Blues" shocks/struts

Suspension Techniques Front Sway Bar (I believe the rear may be stock... which is fine.)

Toyo Proxes FZ4 tires on original 10th Anniversary wheels

Hoosier & Goodyear Autocross tires on second set of grey TII wheels

Motor: 0 miles: (roughly 300+ HP range)

Street Ported (generously) 13B '88 TII motor

Side Housings lapped

2mm 2-piece apex seals

3-window oil bearings

heatsinks cut into coolant passages

cryogenically hardened stationary gears

custom made 2.5" turbo-back exhaust to single 3" outlet (sounds very nice!)

HKS Super Power Flow intake

new injectors

rotor housings modified to fit Bosch Platinum +4 plugs

Jacobs ignition wires

stock turbo rebuilt approx. 8-10k miles ago

stock intercooler

stock ECU

Other:

ACT Heavy Duty clutch & pressure plate

Hose Techniques silicon hoses under hood to replace rubber ones

Griffin aluminum racing radiator

Mazdatrix fuel line "H" mod to avoid flooding

Autometer boost gauge in A-pillar pod

Blitz FATT turbo timer

Original 10th Anniversary floormats

Second set of RX-7 floormats (so as not to dirty the original ones)

Original 10th Anniversary bra with embroydered Anniversary emblem

Original 10th Anniversary key

Original 10th Anniversary windshield

tinted windows

newly recovered leather driver's seat

Blaupunkt speakers

3 stock stereo headunits

Other things not necessarily on the car at this time, but could be:

Walbro Fuel Pump

Boost Dependant Fuel Pressure Regulator

Racing Beat ligher steel flywheel

Jacobs ignition amplifier

J&S SafeGuard knocksensor w/ remote led indicator for amount of retard and air/fuel ratio

set of 89-91 round taillights

136,620 miles on car

Asking $8000. May throw in the not-installed items for that price too.

i would hope there are no miles on that engine, cause if there was it seems the car prolly wouldve been abused with all those mods. by abuse, i mean by lots of track and drag driving. from the sounds of things a lot of time and money was invested in the car. not a bad price for the upgrades. if you are considering it, make sure u find out who rebuilt the motor, who installed what and have paperwork that justifies it.

let us know if u pick it up or not

thats too much my money in my opinion, especially considering

the paint has to be stripped to repaint it.

What hasnt started to peel- will. No respectable shop would paint

that car without stripping it down to the primer, bare metal not needed on those cars because the failure seems to be between the paint and the primer, the primer is stable and souldnt be taken off.
